Laundry Day

Saturday was Laundry Day in Antwerp, one of the biggest dance events in Belgium. At "het eilandje (the Island)" in the old docklands they built 5 stages between the houses and warehouses where well known and less known DJ's could do their thing, making music
from house, trance and techno to even rock, reggae and R&B. About 40.000 people joined the event. I was there with some friends from 16.00 hr untill the end at 24.00 hrs. There were
a lot of after parties all over the city but this time I could resist the attraction of the music
and went home for a good sleep. Maybe next year all the way untill the morning ?

Paris

After dropping Alima at Charles de Gaulle I made a quick tour through Paris with the car. It's amazing how easy you find your way around in Paris by car without a map. I entered Paris
at Stade de France and drove from Gare du nord to Notre Dame, Place de la Concorde, Eiffel Tower, Moulin Rouge and Monmartre. I even managed to park my car 100 meter from the
Eiffel Tower without paying and without getting a fine ;-) After 2 hours sightseeing I left Paris
back home. Of course I had a traffic jam at the pheripherique (beltway) of Paris but I had my
distraction by watching these crazy motor bikers passing the cars at around 80 km/hr. I
arrived safe home in Antwerp after 3 hours.

girlfriend

Friday I drove my girlfriend, Alima, to Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris where she took a flight to Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. It's a 3 hours journey from Antwerp by car and a 6 hours during flight. I hope she will enjoy her 3 weeks stay at home with her parents and friends before starting another year of economic studies in Brussels.
